Mechanical/Electrical
- Looking like 16 sensors per shelf at the moment
- We only own 16 so we’re going to have to order more
- Thinking of doing ribbon cable for the sensor wires
- Might need a new jig to test the sensors
- We want to make sure it gives us accurate enough data that we can determine when one object is removed
- Using a 3D printed plate might cause the plate to bend and cause inaccurate weight measurements
- We have the model so we should make a full-scale model ASAP as possible
- Even if it’s just one subdivision that would be perfect
- We really need to get a good idea of what we’re working with
Diagram: single shelf divided into subdivisions, each subdivision containing 4 load cells
Woodworking Stuff
- We’ve been meeting with the alumni and it sounds like we might be able to move forward
- His availability matches up with ours around Spring Break, so that’s when this will be manufactured
- This is good, gives us a chance to finalize the model
- Door?
- Idk we can figure it out later
AI and Vision
- Old Jetson is set up down the hall
- New Jetson was ordered yesterday (2/20/24), should come sometime this week
- Logan send a YOLO script
- Tried running it on the old Jetson, missing some dependencies but we might be able to get it to run?
- Script is meant for the Jetson Nano anyways so when that arrives we should be able to run it on that
- MongoDB has been made
- Rough idea of how we’re going to store descriptors
